Some years ago now the music writer Sid Smith posted a series of pictures by Ørnulf Opdahl
which resonated sufficiently with me that I found myself wanting to make music inspired by them & the landscapes they conjure. I made a whole series of pieces and then life overtook me, cardiac arrest, changes in circumstance, new ideas, new work.
Digging about on hard disks I came across them again. Sufficient time had passed for me to forget making them and to be able to listen to them with fresh ears. To my surprise I had captured at least some of what I intended too.
